\nhoneyed dreams
\ntormented
\ncarrying me instead to
\nserpentine, scabrous tracks<\/p>\n

Deep in the night, the wailing
\nvanishes
\nonly the song of the river who speaks
\nwith her seething lashes
\nlike blows that fall upon the soul
\ncome to whisper, relating plunges foretold<\/p>\n

Like the very cries of Time
\nI hear the echoes, the breaths
\nof my affliction
\nI search for a path to take flight
\nto cast off these fetters,
\ntying me to the void.<\/p>\n

Where might I find a love
